Donbas conflict

A resident of the village of Oleksandrivka was killed by a sniper in the outskirts of Donetsk. The incident happened at 5:30 pm Tuesday.

Ukrainian Ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova said that the number of Ukrainians held captive in the illegally occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas is constantly growing and currently stands at 376 people.

Ukraine rejects Russia’s offers on solution to Donbas conflict. Head of the President's Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak stated this in his letter to Russian representatives in the Minsk talks group. “(…)we are concerned about the approach demonstrated by the Russian side to these important issues, as well as the manipulative nature of the conclusions proposed (…)under no circumstances can we agree with the proposals”, reads the message.

The second stage of vaccination campaign began in Ukraine. According to the Healthcare Ministry, now it is doctors’ turn to get inoculated. Previously, Ukrainian military servicemen were vaccinated within the first stage.

A Ukrainian military servicewoman passed away two days after being vaccinated against Covid-10. The doctors used CoviShield vaccine. Soon after the tragedy, Ukraine’s Healthcare Ministry found out that another nine people were injected with the vaccine from the same flask; none of these patients claimed any health concerns. It appeared that the deceased lady suffered from cardiovascular failure.

Ukraine's Foreign Ministry confirms that supplies of CoviShield vaccine from India have been suspended for the time being. The reason is that the country faced another wave of the pandemic, and it cited the need to expand the nation-level vaccination campaign.

China sent Ukraine the first batch of CoronaVac drug developed by Sinovac company. It amounts to 700,000 doses.

This week, Ukraine's PM said that the completion of Nord Stream 2 construction would intensify Russia's aggression.

Later, US Secretary of the State Antony Blinken claimed that the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which runs from Russia to Germany, contradicts interests of the EU and Ukraine alike.
