President Zelensky during a briefing said that Ukraine wanted to receive a clear list of reforms needed for NATO integration. He emphasized that Ukraine wants to agree on criteria with the Alliance, specific markers, by which it will further assess the success of reforms and readiness for membership.

However, NATO Secretary General's Special James Appathurai during a conference on reforms in Ukraine sai that is doesn’t work that way.

"There is no clear list of criteria, after which the MAP or membership is granted - because these are political decisions, these are not purely technical criteria ... I am not saying that there is no connection between reforms and a political decision - of course, they are but just fulfillment of the list of conditions is not enough in itself," he said.
