About Donbas conflict
A ceasefire agreed by sides of Minsk talks group took effect in Donbas combat area on July 27. Nevertheless, Russian mercenaries still breached it almost immediately. In turn, Russia stated it could not act as guarantor of the ceasefire.
Ukraine insisted that Russian officers return to the line-up of the Joint Control and Coordination Centre.
New restrictions are going to be imposed in Ukraine starting from August 1. All regions will be divided into several zones: green, yellow, orange, and red according to the level of epidemic danger of the Covid-19 spread.
The Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko stated that the WHO's vaccine against Covid-19 could cover only 20 percent of Ukraine's needs.
On July 30, Ukraine reported a new anti-record in terms of Covid-19 incidence – 1,197 cases were observed over a day.
About Wagner militants
This week, 32 militants of foreign military company were detained near Minsk. It turned out that the detained mercenaries were from Wagner PMC. Belarus opened a criminal case against them. Ukraine's Security Service will request extradition of Wagner PMC militants. According to preliminary data, some of the detainees are Ukrainian citizens who are wanted in Ukraine.
Ukraine's Foreign Ministry stated that these Wagner PMC fighters could be deployed there to destabilize the situation in the country on the eve of the presidential election.
About Crimea and Musa Suleymanov
A tragedy shook Crimea, as little Crimean Tatar boy, the son of Crimean dissident and political prisoner was found dead. The body of three-year-old Musa Suleymanov was found in a drain hole, two days after he disappeared. The boy was buried on July 27. Russia keeps his father Ruslan Suleymanov in detention; he wasn’t even allowed to attend the funeral of his son.
A road accident occurred in the annexed Crimea, as a minibus and KamAZ heavy-duty vehicle crashed, killing eight people. Crimea's Emergencies Ministry reported that as quoted by TASS. The accident took place at Tavrida roadway in Bilohirsk district, at about 6.40 a.m. Mercedes-Benz Sprinter ran into an idle KamAZ, as the minibus was on its way from Bilohirsk to Simferopol. 15 people, two of them children, were aboard the minibus. The driver deceased on the spot, and KamAZ's driver did not sustain any damage. The wounded were taken to the hospital; the children are safe and unharmed.
About opening borders and flights
It was reported that EU may open borders for Ukrainians in autumn.
In addition, Italy and Ukraine decided lift restrictions for bilateral flights.
About PS752 flight
July 30, Kyiv hosted the talks between Ukraine and Iran, as the sides try to define the size of compensation for Ukraine's civilian aircraft, downed by Iranian anri-aircraft weapon in January 2020. According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, the Ukrainian side will see to it that the the maximum amount of compensation is obtained.
Ukraine is going to participate in a competition for a right to hold 2028/2030 Summer Olympic Games. As of now, the National Olympic Committee and the Office of the President are working on a visit of IOC President to Ukraine.
Middlefielder of the national football team of Ukraine Bogdan Mykhaylichenko is expected to join R.S.C. Anderlecht. It is expected to be a four-year contract.
Dynamo Kyiv FC has officially presented its new coach. Mircea Lucescu expects the players to change their mentality but promises not to change anything radically.
