War in Donbas

Six!!!!! civilians died over the past week.  Casualies grow among Ukrainian servicemen: a Ukrainian soldier killed after shelling on "Butivka" mine, two others killed on Tuesday, every day adds wounds and injuries. No disengagement of troops in Eastern Ukraine's Stanytsia Luhanska is happening due to heavy shelling by Russian-backed militants. 40 thousand militants in Donbas apart from Russian regular troops are reported.

Kyiv Security Forum

Kyiv hosted Kyiv Security Forum. Poroshenko said that Russia changes its tactics in Kremlin and in Eastern Ukraine   and spoke of the modern Ukraine, basing itself on the powerful civil society, while Russia is suppressing this civil society. The Ukrainian government and NATO agreed to work on the joint plan of reforming the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

Hontareva – resigns or not?

A protest took place near the private house of the Head of Ukraine’s National Bank Valeriya Hontareva. While arguing with the activists she said that she is resigning, which hadn’t happen yet.

Eurovision: always on top

It is a month to the unofficial opening of the Eurovision Song Contest-2017 in Kyiv. Euroclub (in the Congress and Exhibition Complex "Parkovy") would be opened on May 1, and the official opening ceremony is on May 7. Accordingly, the final would be held on May 13. Let us understand what, where, and when is happening on the eve of Eurovision in the Ukrainian capital.

Organizers decided to check how well are the participants prepared to visit Ukraine. The participants were proposed to repeat three sentences in Ukrainian: “See you in Kyiv!”, “Welcome to Eurovision”, “Hello, my name is …”.
