The activists of opposition parties and public associations gathered at the cemetery of Gomel district to honor the memory of a Heavenly Hundred Hero Mikhas Zhyznevsky. This was reported by Belarusian News.
During the mourning event his father noted that his son died not only for Ukraine’s freedom but also for freedom of Belarus. Ukrainians are the freedom-loving people, and that’s the difference between Ukrainians and Belarusians, he added.
"This is what they fought for on Maidan. So today I want to say that we are not some bogans, as we are seen by the authorities, we are people. Every foreman in our country now is a little dictator. More than three people are not allowed to gather, activists and journalists are beaten by the police, and ordinary laborers are working in three shifts for a hundred dollars. People have become slaves and they do not understand who is guilty and therefore strove among themselves when we have to unite and fight for our dignity as Ukrainians have. But it seems our people have lost their dignity, " Zhyznevsky senior said.
Mikhas Zhyznevsky was killed when he was shot in the heart on Hrushevsky Street in Kyiv on January 22, 2014. He was one of the first victims of confrontation with security forces.
Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian who put up "Heavenly Hundred Street" sign on the house was detained in Crimea. The Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation said that 90 rounds of ammunition and some TNT blocks were found in the attic of the house where Vladimir Baluh lives.
