Healthcare Minister: New batch of Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine delivered to Ukraine

A new batch of Pfizer coronavirus vaccine was delivered to Ukraine this weekend. This was announced by Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko during a briefing.

The new batch was purchased for the state budget funds. The total number of vaccines in the delivered batch is 1,400,000 doses.

"Another batch of Pfizer vaccine was also delivered over the weekend," Lyashko said.

Meanwhile, yesteday, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) delivered to Ukraine 2,930,300 doses of mRNA vaccine against Covid-19 manufactured by Moderna. 

Ukraine receives vaccines under the COVAX Facility free of charge.

COVAX is an unprecedented initiative of solidarity among the international community to support access to effective and safe Covid-19 vaccines for all countries.

Together with the newest supply, UNICEF has delivered 7,415,810 doses of vaccines by various manufacturers (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Sinovac) as part of COVAX.
