Healthcare Minister Viktor Lyashko is confident that all coronavirus vaccines that are available in Ukraine and have received a WHO recommendation protect well against coronavirus. He stated this in an interview with TSN.
"Trust me - the best vaccine is the one your family doctor has. Do not fall for marketing traps that say that some vaccines work better. Any vaccine that is used in Ukraine today and is recognized by WHO protects against severe and moderate coronavirus," Lyashko said.
In support of his words, he cited the examples of Great Britain and Spain, where the Delta strain is circulating today.
Meanwhile, Pfizer and BioNTech companies that develop their vaccines against Covid-19 will be appealing to the regulatory bodies asking them to let them give the people a third shot of their drug.
"The companies expect to publish more definitive data soon as well as in a peer-reviewed journal and plan to submit the data to the FDA (Food and Drug Administration), EMA (European Medicines Agency) and other regulatory authorities in the coming weeks," reads the statement cited by France 24.
