The Commission of the Ministry of Health declared the work of Kateryna Amosova, the President of the Bogomolets National Medical University, unsatisfying and recommended to cancel the contract with her. This was reported on the Ministry's Facebook page.
“The unanimous decision made by the Commission of the Ministry of Health is the following: to declare the work of Kateryna Amosova in 2017 unsatisfying; to recommend Ukraine’s Ministry of Health to cancel the contract with her before expiry date due to the non-compliance with the contract conditions in 2017,” the message says.
The representatives of the Ministry added, that Amosova was absent at the President’s report presenting, that was her second absence.
“This time Kateryna Amosova without any reasonable excuse avoided the presenting of her public activity as the President of the University. Therefore, the Commission of the Ministry of Health has publicly condemned the work of Amosova in 2017 without her being present,” they informed.
Earlier, the Administrative Court reinstated Amosova as the President of Bogomolets National Medical University on March 2. The University started a strike to support Amosova on February 26.
Ulana Suprun, acting Minister of Health, said that this was not a strike, but an intentional removal of the students from studying and threatened the University’s administration to bring them to responsibility for the sabotage of classes.
A strike committee of the Bogomolets National Medical University reported about the end of the strike. The members of the committee claimed that the strike reached the aim and the Parliament Committee on Health headed by Olha Bogomolets supported the demands announced by the protesters.
Yet, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine suspended Kateryna Amosova from the duty on March 6.
