During the week, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine added another 857 beds for patients with Covid-19 in five hospitals, Minister of Healthcare Viktor Lyashko stated during a briefing.

Last week, the Covid fund was increased by 4,755 beds in 41 hospitals.

"Due to the large number of Covid-19 cases during the last calendar week, another 857 beds in five hospitals have been allocated for Covid-19 treatment. Last week we added 4,755 beds in 41 hospitals," Lyashko said.

The head of the Ministry of Health noted that the bed stock for patients with Covid-19 is already more than 70 thousand beds with oxygen.

At the same time, 51,598 oxygen beds (69%) are currently occupied by patients.

"The situation is uneven: 48 out of 520 Covid hospitals (about 9%) have 100% occupied beds, and 233 (about 45% covident hospitals) have more than 75% occupied oxygen beds. The remaining 55% of institutions remain without a critical workload," he said.

As it was reported, over the last 24 hours, November 4, 26,488 people got sick with Covid-19. The number included 1,654 children and 488 medical workers.
