"I urge everyone to celebrate New Year and Christmas safely. In isolation, with family. It is desirable that all this happens with a full course of vaccination,” Lyashko said.
According to him, as a rule, the surge in incidence occurs in mid-February and can continue until mid-March. Last year, the wave of coronavirus began at exactly this time period. However, the quarantine was strengthened precisely after the New Year holidays, which made it possible to delay the increase in the incidence. Perhaps that is why the new wave of infections was not aggressive.
As for the upcoming winter holidays, the current quarantine rules will remain in place. People without Covid vaccinations will continue to be unable to fully enjoy their right to visit public places.
As we reported, eight regions and the city of Kyiv will leave the "red" quarantine zone on December 7.
On December 6, new quarantine rules began to operate in Ukraine.
Now, only those who have received at least one dose of vaccination against Covid-19 and have a corresponding document - a "yellow" Covid certificate or certificate 063 / o, will be able to visit public institutions at the "yellow" level of epidemic danger.
To serve visitors and customers, workers in restaurants, hotels, and gyms will need to have at least one Covid-19 vaccine. At the same time, it will be possible to use a negative test valid for 72 hours to visit public institutions, or an alternative document - a Covid certificate of recovery. Thus, at the "yellow" level of severity, public institutions will not be able to serve clients, as well as to admit to work those who do not have one of the listed documents.
