Ukraine expects to get the vaccines against coronavirus infection developed by world produces at the end of the first or beginning of the second quarter of 2021 as 112 Ukraine TV channel reported citing Health Minister Maksym Stepanov.

“Ukraine will get the vaccine, about 8 million doses on COVAX global initiative. Until December 7, we have the signing of proper documents. I believe that the term of the supply of this vaccine: the end of the first – the beginning of the second quarter,” Stepanov said.

He added that the Health Ministry is at the stage of the finalization of the agreements with the world producers of vaccines that passed the third stage of the clinical trials, particularly, Pfizer, on the supplies to Ukraine.

“We also expect to get them starting from the second quarter of the next year,” he added.

As of December 4, there are 15,131 new Covid-19 cases in Ukraine; while, 13,383 Ukrainians have recovered.

Thus, there are 787,891 Covid-19 cases in Ukraine since the beginning of the pandemic – 397,809 (+13,383) have recovered. Meanwhile, 13,195 (+235) patients died from the complications caused by a coronavirus.

Earlier, Ukraine's Healthcare Minister Maksym Stepanov stated he would recommend the government to impose a full lockdown since early January.
