The Minister of Health of Ukraine Maksym Stepanov talked about the development of a Ukrainian vaccine against coronavirus. He said there are two candidates for the vaccine on air of Freedom of Speech on ICTV.

“We have two candidates for the vaccine. Recently we brought this to the president on October 22 ... they are conducting relevant research, and have already achieved stabilization of the dosage form, that is, it is going through all preclinical phases in order to move to the clinical phase,” Stepanov said.

He noted that in order to continue working on the second vaccine, the budget was provided for the creation of a so-called biocluster for the construction of a laboratory. 3.6 million dollars were allocated for the work on this vaccine.

"This money, 3.6 million dollars, is not enough, so money will have to be added," the Health Minister said.
