Vaccination will also become mandatory for healthcare workers in Ukraine as Health Minister">Viktor Lyashko stated on the air of the talk show.
"In the next stages of expanding the list of professions, a medical worker will also appear there. As of today, we have more than 80% vaccinated. There are more emergency service, "covid" departments at 100%," the Minister of Health said.
He also reported about the order, prepared by his department, on the mandatory vaccination for representatives of other industries.
- enterprises, institutions, and organizations of central executive authorities;
- establishments and institutions in the field of social services;
- institutions for the protection of children's rights;
- rehabilitation facilities;
- state-owned enterprises, institutions, and organizations with strategic importance for the economy and security of the state, prescribed in the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 4, 2015, No. 83.
On November 8, the suspension of all unvaccinated officials and teachers has started. It does not apply to people who have absolute contraindications for preventive vaccinations against Covid-19 and received a medical opinion on the presence of contraindications for vaccination against Covid-19 issued by a healthcare institution.
In October, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the procedure for the removal of unvaccinated employees of enterprises, institutions, and organizations subject to mandatory vaccination against coronavirus.
Sick leave benefits will not be available to employees who have been suspended from work for refusing or avoiding compulsory preventive vaccination against acute respiratory disease Covid-19.
Recently, the trade union of workers of education and science of Ukraine asked the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education not to suspend teachers who did not have time to get vaccinated against Covid-19.
The trade union draws attention to Article 32 of the Labor Code of Ukraine, which provides that employees must be notified of changes in essential working conditions no later than two months.
However, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine refused to accommodate the trade union of education and science workers.
