According to the source, Romanov decided to resign himself before the public criticism by the Ukrainian Prime Minister.
The source added that the resignation was agreed with President Pedro Poroshenko.
As we reported earlier, Ukraine’s Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman called on Romanov to resign today, Dec. 27, as the latter didn’t manage to pay off the wage arrears when they were due. The Prime Minister added that he would address the President suggesting Romanov’s resignation on Wednesday.
Roman Romanov headed Ukroboronprom since July 4, 2014.
