Inessa Kadyrova, the mother of fugitive people’s deputy Oleksandr Onyshchenko, was detained because of "gas case" on March 30 in Spain. This was reported by the press service of Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP), referring to its head Nazar Kholodnytsky.

SAP shall take all necessary measures for her extradition to Ukraine.

Inessa Kadyrova is one of the co-organizers in the so-called "gas scheme" of MP Oleksandr Onyshchenko and was declared wanted in August 2016.

As it is known, Oleksandr Onyshchenko is suspected in illegal embezzlement of funds through the creation of "gas scheme". According to preliminary data, the revealed scheme inflicted more than $100 million to the state. Verkhovna Rada stripped Onyshchenko’s immunity on July 5 and also gave permission for his arrest. MP has fled to Great Britain afterwards.
