Head of the President’s Office Andriy Yermak has asked US government to deploy American surface-to-air missile system MIM-104 Patriot in the territory of Ukraine as Time reported.

“Ukraine is holding the line against Russia, not just for us, but for the West. And where does the U.S. deploy its Patriot Missiles? The closest ones are in Poland. They should be here,” Yermak said.

Currently, the surface-to-air missile system MIM-104 Patriot is deployed in the territory of Poland.

On April 1, the Chief Intelligence Department of Ukraine's Defense Ministry stated that the Russian Federation is ready for large-scale provocations against Ukraine; that, in particular, includes an option of invasion into the country's territory.

On April 8, Volodymyr Zelensky was on a working trip to Donbas. The visit of the president took place within the escalation of the conflict in the east.

Later, Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is ready for Russian invasion.

Meanwhile, Head of the Administration of the President of Russia Dmitry Kozak accused Ukraine of imitating the military threat in Donbas. Kozak also believes that the partners in the Normandy format are delaying the negotiation process.

On April 11, Russia excluded the possibility of a war with Ukraine. The Kremlin assured that it would not accept this scenario.
