Head of department in Lviv region university caught on $3.500 bribe

In Lviv region, a head of a university department was detained on receiving a bribe, according to the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

According to the police, the professor demanded bribes for aiding students during exams, defending their theses, course papers, and other tasks.

“He was detained on receiving yet another “help” from the students. The law enforcers seized 3.000 UAH and 400 USD (roughly $500) of unlawful benefit. It was documented that the academician received almost $3.500 of bribes overall,” the statement says.
