“The Court has admitted the request of the Prosecutor’s Office to change the restrictive measure for Vladyslav Manger and partially satisfied it. To reject the application of the prosecutor for replacing the restrictive measure with detention,” the judge said.
She noted that Manger had to come to the investigator and prosecutor on call, had no right to leave Kherson without permission, had to report on the change of location, give his passport including the foreign one to the prosecutor, and wear electronic monitoring facility.
Besides, Kyiv Shevchenkivsky District Court started considering the request to change restrictive measure for Manger. On March 6, the Chairman of Kherson Region Council was suspended from duty for a month.
Manger is suspected of committing the crimes provided by the article of Ukraine’s Criminal Code on premeditated murder.
On March 6, Vladyslav Manger, the suspect in the organization of murder of activist Kateryna Hanzdiuk has been suspended from duty for a month.
On February 11, Vladyslav Manger was served with charge papers in Handziuk’s murder. In his turn, Manger said that he would not escape from the country due to suspicion of organizing the murder of Handziuk.
The court ruled to arrest Manger until March 3 with the possibility of bail. However, later lawyer Dmitry Ilchenko has posted a bail for his client Kherson Regional Council Head Vladyslav Manger.
On February 19, Vladyslav Manger started to wear the digital bracelet.
On November 4, 2018, it became known that Kateryna Handziuk died at the age of 34. She was doused with sulphuric acid in July this year. According to preliminary information, her death was caused by blood clot's detachment.
Besides, the doctors specified the cause for the death of Handziuk was specified. It was due to multiple organ failure and chemical burns.
