The unknown cybercriminals hacked the site of the Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry of Ukraine. They blocked the site and demand the ransom for its restoration.
Particularly, the message from the criminals published at the main page of the site (mev.gov.ua). They demand 0,1 Bitcoin (about $930) for the restoration of the portal work.
They have given 10 hours to pay the ransom.
Earlier a Russian-linked group of hackers recently attacked government websites stole documents from the German websites, including those related to Ukraine.
Also, on March 28, the Ukrainian cyberpolice have exposed a hacker who has allegedly broken into the computers of banks and hotels across the world. The man was a part of the ‘Cobalt’ hacker organization, whose members have been involved in attacks on various global banks.
Also, law enforcement agents discovered online databases that were illegally entered into, where credit card details of citizens from Europe and America and other countries of the world. Along with that, traces of account on various hacker forums and different harmful software were found.
