Strana.ua Editor-in-Chief Ihor Guzhva informs that he is not sure whether he will post $21 thousand bail chosen by the court. He said this to journalists after court hearing, the video was made public by correspondent Yury Lukashin on Facebook.
Answering the question whether he will post bail, Guzhva said that he would take such decision after talking with lawyers and friends.
At the same time, he noted that nobody expressed willingness to post bail yet.
Guzhva also announced that there is no crime from his side.
"There is no crime on my part. Thus prosecution or defense may talk about correctness of the decision," he commented on the court’s judgement.
As it is known, court arrested Guzhva for two months with $21 thousand bail right.
Earlier Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko explained that Guzhva is charged with extortion and bribery, as he was caught in flagranti while getting his hand on almost USD 38,500. Lutsenko said that there is photo and video evidence of Guzhva getting the bribe – as a reward for not publishing a story about Ukrainian politician.
