UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres announced his support for Ukraine concerning the restoration of peace in Donbas, and in conducting reforms. He said this during a meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman in Kyiv on Sunday, July 9.
“We feel the obligation to continue to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and support to facilitate the lives of internally displaced persons (you noted that there were 1,7 million of them), and to alleviate the suffering of those people who live close to the contact line and who are victims of the situation . And we are also at your disposal and we are ready to give full support to the Ukrainian government in carrying out reforms,” he said.
