The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman expects prompt reaction of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (RNBO) and National Bank (NBU) on the situation with Sberbank (Russian bank) that started to accept passports of the so-called “DPR” and “LPR”.

"Yesterday I spoke about it with the President and the head of the NBU. Today we are working on this. For now we investigate the legal basis, whether it is really so. If so, I think that the National Bank, the National Security Council and the President will react very quickly to this situation. And this response will be very, very adequate. It is a right thing that you have raised this issue. This is simply unacceptable that gangster organizations, supported by Russia, not only issued some kind of a "wolf ticket" nobody will recognize, but the financial institutions are also involved in these dirty stories.

I think we will deal with this quickly. What should be done by the government, I think we are unanimous on the matter; we will take all necessary decisions to support that. As a member of the National Security Council and the colleagues at the RNBO will also clearly and quickly react to these things, "the said Prime Minister said.

Earlier i t was reported that National Bank will impose sanctions on Ukrainian affiliate of Russia’s Sberbank. The Russian financial entity said they were ready to service individuals with passports of self-styled ‘DPR’ and ‘LPR’.
