532 convicted soldiers of the armed Donbas Conflict were pardoned in 2017 according to the law ‘On amnesty’ as Andry Lysenko, the spokesperson of Prosecutor General’s Office reported at Facebook.
‘The law was applied towards 532 people, thanking the active attitude of the military prosecutor’s as at December 7, 2017. 452 people were pardoned during the support of the public prosecution and 80 people during the performance of the observance of the execution of a punishment’, Lysenko reported.
He added that the law acted during three months. The Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Defense, convicted and defense were informed on the necessity to appeal to the court with the proper request.
Earlier the mass media reported citing the State Court Administration that 587 convicted soldiers of the armed Donbas Conflict were pardoned in Ukraine in 2017.
