Government to impose sanctions against Russian enterprises in occupied part of Ukraine

The Cabinet of Ministers initiated the imposing of the personal sanctions against the enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Russia, which are situated in the occupied part of Ukraine as the government reported.

It is planned to impose sanctions for three years. The consideration of the regulation should not surpass a month.

“To approve and provide a month-term for the consideration of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of the regulation on the imposing of the personal sanctions for three years against companies, involved in the supplies of the materials, equipment and service of the military-industrial complex of Russia, which are situated in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine, on the list according to the supplement (for official use),” the message said.

The Cabinet of Ministers would like to oblige the Development Ministry, Justice Ministry, State Service of Financial Control, State Tax Service, State Fiscal Service and National Bank of Ukraine to hold control over the fulfillment of the decision and its efficiency.

After the imposing of the sanctions, Foreign Ministry should inform the EU, the U.S. and other states about it to make them consider the issue of imposing of similar sanctions.

As we reported, the EU decided to prolong the sanctions against Russia until March 15, 2020.
