Social Policy Minister Andriy Reva supposes that the Cabinet of Ministers might refuse from the advance in gas price since October 1, as he told the journalists in the lobbies of the Government, 112.ua reports.
“The gas price will be changed in compliance with the law, with the decision the Government makes, since the date which will be mentioned there. The regulation of a special obligation has been prolonged several times, if the new price for gas is not agreed – it will be agreed with the international partners. As far as I understand, there is a possibility that the validity of this regulation will be prolonged. So, we don’t exclude any options here,” Reva said.
According to the Minister, the advance in gas prices within the growth of the salary and pension amount will not entail any additional expenses from the 2019 budget for the housing subsidy.
“If the increase of gas prices is within the growth of salaries and pensions in 2018, and it is taken into account since October 1, 2018, this ratio of the wage and tariff increase will not entail additional means required by the budget for the program of housing subsidies in 2019,” Reva said.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Government reached a principal agreement during the talks with the IMF on a gradual increase of gas prices to the level of import parity till 2020.
