The Cabinet of Ministers increased the number of liable for compulsory military service in April-May in the amount of 15,2 thousand people. The decision was made on the Wednesday session on March 21, Ukrainski Novyny reports.
The total amount of conscripts is 15,190 people, 4,000 of them will be sent to the National Guard, 9,000 – to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
563 young men from Kyiv will be called to arms.
The maximum number of the conscripts (1,520 people) will be recruited from Dnipropetrovsk region, the minimum (255 people) – from Zakarpattia. The expenses for recruitment will be around $3 million.
Besides, the expenses per 1 conscript will be around $114, most of which will cover cash assistance for the conscript.
Earlier, Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko approved the terms of compulsory-duty servicemen discharge and the terms of new call-ins in 2018, which will be held in April-May and October-November.
