The Cabinet of Ministers dismissed the Chairman of the State Service of Medical Means Nataliya Gudz and her First Deputy Vladyslav Tselina from the performance of duties and initiated a disciplinary proceeding. The relevant decision was made at the Government’s session, as the press office of the Health Ministry reports.
It was noted that the leadership of the Service was suspended for an unreasonable introduction of a ban on different vaccines over the past year.
“In 2018, the State Service of Medical Means and Drug Control have made several unreasonable decisions on the temporary ban on the implementation and usage of different vaccines (against tuberculosis, hepatitis B, poliomyelitis, diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis),” the message says.
The representatives of the Health Ministry noted that Gudz and Tselina have decided on these bans “despite the set order of applying of temporary bans”, without “enough reasons and facts”.
“In each particular case of the unreasonable bans, the protocols of investigation of the regional groups proved that there was no threat,” the message says.
Yet, as the Health Ministry informed, due to the actions of the State Service of Medical Means, the process of immunization of Ukrainians is being stopped every time. While the publication of the bans in media “lead to discrediting of the immunization, the population started refusing vaccination”.
