The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a project that will allow the launch of the Ukrainian National Center for Peace Development. The corresponding decision was made during a government meeting on December 2.

According to him, today in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions and in Crimea, cases of violation of the rights of Ukrainian citizens continue to occur. The main task of such a center is to protect the rights of Ukrainian citizens.

The prime minister added that all facts of violations will be documented and will serve as an evidence base regarding Russian aggression.

"Today we propose to approve a project to launch the Ukrainian National Peace Center, which will collect evidence of a violation of the rights (of Ukrainians living in the temporarily occupied territories - ed.)," Shmygal said.

The procedure for the use of funds for the creation of registers and monitoring systems was approved.

As we reported, Human rights activists in occupied Crimea noted more than 230 cases of political persecution. The independent judicial system was destroyed there.
