Google has presented a new doodle dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence.
The festive composition is presented in the form of an ancient ship - a Cossack seagull - on the sail of which is a small coat of arms of Ukraine, a trident. Cossack seagulls were light maneuverable sailing boats of Zaporozhian Cossacks of 16-17 centuries. It is believed that its name "seagull" is due to the unusual speed and lightness that the boat showed on the water. The innovative design of the Cossack seagulls gave them an advantage over other ships.
The image is placed in the middle of the Google signature, executed in the blue and yellow colors of the Ukrainian flag.
"August 4, 2021 Ukraine's Independence Day - 2021. On this day in 1991, the Ukrainian Parliament adopted the Declaration of Independence. Today's Doodle celebrates Ukraine's Independence Day, an annual celebration of the country's rich cultural heritage and its path to freedom. Doodle uses the colors of the state. The flag of Ukraine is blue and yellow. In the center is a stylized image of a Cossack seagull with a Ukrainian trident on a sail," Google designers explained the symbolism and stylistics of their composition.
"Happy Independence Day, Ukraine!" the company added.
As we reported earlier, last year, Google also released a doodle dedicated to Ukraine's Independence Day.
As you know, August 24 is a national holiday of independence in Ukraine. On this day, in 1991, the country declared its independence from the USSR.
