The Verkhovna Rada

As a result of today’s prisoners' exchange in Donbas, 73 Ukrainians were released, according to a representative in Ukraine of the humanitarian subgroup of the TCG in Minsk, the Vice Speaker of the Parliament Iryna Gerashchenko's statement.

It is worth noting that previously it was stated that 74 Ukrainians were released as it had been agreed in advance. However, the DNR militants informed that one of the captives, a former soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, refused to take part in the exchange. As to the militants, they had 306 people on the list, but only 233 were willing to go to the militant-controlled territories of Donbas.
