The Prosecuting Attorney’s Council of Georgia provided Ukraine with facts, that weren’t known when Mikheil Saakashvili obtained Ukrainian citizenship, as Anton Herashchenko, Ukrainian MP and External Advisor to the Minister of Internal Affairs, informs on his Facebook page.
“Recently the Prosecuting Attorney’s Council of Georgia forwarded to Ukraine facts, that weren’t known when the decision was made to grant Mikheil Saakashvili Ukrainian citizenship, and Saakashvili had purposefully hidden them,” he wrote.
As it was reported earlier, Mikheil Saakashvili lost his Ukrainian citizenship today, July 26, by the President's decree.
Mikheil Saakashvili became a citizen of Ukraine in 2015 by the President's decree. The same day he was appointed to the position of the Chairman of Odesa Region State Administration. He served as the chairman until November 7, 2016. According to his Facebook, Saakashvili is in the US at the moment.
