General Prosecutor’s Office together with the Security Service of Ukraine searches the house of the opposition politician Mikheil Saakashvili. This was reported by the SBU spokesperson Olena Hitlianska.
"Our special unit of the Security Service provides investigative actions of the Prosecutor General's Office," Hitlianska said.
At the moment, law enforcement officers are standing at the door of the apartment on Kostyolna Street.
According to the 112 Ukraine TV channel reported, Kyiv Rescue Service, ambulances and patrol police are there, near the house.
No one is let inside.
Saakashvili himself is on the roof of the building. According to his allies, there are the SBU officers together with him on the roof, they are trying to detain Saakashvili. A noise is heard, the politician demands that no one approach him.
Earlier David Sakvarelidze reported on his Facebook page that the “unknown men were breaking the door”.
The lawyer is near the door to Saakashvili's appartment, heavily guarded by the police, who are not letting him in.
