Ukraine Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko commented on his unwillingness to make personnel decisions related to General Prosecutor Office Investigative Department immediately.
“I can’t waste time on satisfying needs of public sector. Nobody can provide 1200 new employees of central office, that will be fantastically skilled and of high-performance. I have to work with those who are available. There are three investigation directions now. The first one is the Main Investigative Directorate that will deal with all the current cases. The special department statuses that supposedly performed political tasks were liquidated. The second one is going to work on Maidan cases that will be led under my direction. To the third direction belong economic crimes of the past that will be investigated with the help of military prosecutor’s forces. We will see the progress in 100 days and will judge according to what has been done”, - stated Yuriy Lutsenko.
