Ukraine has to retain the gas transit on its territory. This was stated by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) Oleksandr Danyliuk during the interview to NV Radio.

“It is not only the 3 bn inflow issue, but it is also the geopolitical issue,” Danyliuk said.

According to him, the negotiations with Russia will be restored when the new government is formed and a new relevant minister responsible for the talks is appointed.

“It is also important to finish Naftogaz Ukraine company reforming until the end of the year,” Danyliuk added.

As it was reported earlier, Russia named the condition, under which it would be ready to keep the gas transit across Ukraine. According to Sergei Prikhodko, Deputy Head of the Russian government, all Ukraine-Russia court litigations in the gas sector must be regulated.

"As for the transit of the Russian gas across the territory of Ukraine, we're ready to keep it on the economically profitable conditions, but [also] in case of the righteous solution of all litigations between Gazprom and Naftogaz", Prikhodko said.
