Naftogaz promises to lower the gas price, all bank accounts will be transferred to EU standards and new supermarkets will have to project the toilettes for visitors. These changes will take place in Ukraine in August 2019.
Naftogaz-Ukraine is proposing to lower the prices on natural gas for 7,2-7,5% for industrial customers and other business entities from August 1.
It is reported that Naftogaz proposed gas for price of 183-206 dollars for cubic meter (without VAT and expenditures on pipeline transportation).
If we compare with prices in July 2019, in August they will be 7,2-7,5% less.
Penalty charges for those with European Car plates
The owners of the cars with European car plates may be fined – the term of customs clearance for the imported cars comes to its end on August 22.
The new rules should have come into force last May, but the Parliament postponed the fines for three months. However, now for failing to meet a deadline of customs clearance for 10-20 days one will have to pay about $650 of fine, for a period of 20 to 30 days - $3260. If a delay exceeds one month, the owner will be fined for over $6500 and the car will be confiscated.
By the way, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky suggests that the Verkhovna Rada will once again postpone the introduction of fines for the owners of the cars with the European car plates.
Banking accounts by international standards
All banking system of Ukraine would switch to the European standard for International Bank Account Number (IBAN). The introduction of the standards will start on August 5 and from November 1 2019, IBAN in Ukraine will become obligatory for all bank clients.
Now there are 14 numbers in it and the bank code is written in documents separately. The number by IBAN standard consists of 29 alphanumeric symbols. It consists of the country code (UA), check digit (2 numbers), account number (from 5 to 9 numbers) and bank code (6 numbers).
The National Bank of Ukraine notes that switch to the IBAN will lead to reduction of requisites for payment documents and remittances both within and outside the country will become faster.
The change will only touch the bank account numbers, the cards will remain valid.
National Guard Patrol
Since August 1, 2019, the servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine have been protecting public order as part of independent foot patrols.
Prior to this, the guards served together with the National Police.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, about 2 thousand patrol, 100 cars and 100 service dogs will be involved in ensuring law and order. Guardsmen will patrol five days a week for six hours.
Toilets in supermarkets
Since August, 2019, all major new supermarkets will be required to add toilets for visitors. Thus, all new and reconstructed large supermarkets, hypermarkets and other food stores with a trading area of over 2500 square meters and a universal assortment of goods shall build public toilets. Calculation - 1 sanitary device per 600 square meters of retail space, but not less than 4 sanitary appliances per facility.
It is noted that the toilet rooms should be separate for men and women and must have a universal cabin for people with disabilities.
