"We counted that the sum should be about $4 billion. It is a minimal need for the army. However, we are financed with $3 billion. It is obviously not enough to maintain the Armed Forces in the combat ready and I am not talking about the enhancing of the capacity," Muzhenko noted.
He added that now the outflow of the personnel is observed, also, because of the material problems and it can have serious consequences for the combat readiness of the Armed Forces.
"Our research shows that the basic cash benefit for a soldier should be $547. now, it is $225 and this sum should be bigger twice. Then we will have the worthy level of the material compensation for all those inconveniences and tension they experience," he said.
At the same time, he assured that this situation does not influence the frontline as the compensations there are bigger.
As we reported U.S. President Donald Trump signed the act which provides expenses on national defence in the amount of $716 billion. Moreover, the act provides allocation for Ukraine in the amount of $250 million for the defence sector.
