Before the protest, its organizers, “Auto Euro Force” movement, threatened in Facebook that it would become a traffic collapse, as a large number of participants was announced.

“The aim is to reduce the cost of fuel to spring’s level (May 15, 2018), by reducing excise rate for fuel and its link to hryvnia instead of euro, as it is now. The format: 1. Driving your own car, stop at 9 am taking the right lane, obligating the traffic safety measures, switch on “alarm” and headlights, give a sound signal as a protest without blocking the road. 2. Do not use flags of the organizations and parties. 3. The protest lasts for one hour, from 9 am till 11 am, on October 11, Thursday,” the message says.
