The delegation of senators and heads of the European journalists trade unions is to come to Kyiv to support 112 Ukraine and NewsOne, as Artem Marchevsky, General Producer of 112 Ukraine noted.

“The delegation from France will arrive in Kyiv. It is a very good sign. Not only the European Parliament and the UK, but also the French parliament support us in the fight for freedom of speech,” he said.

“As it appeared, the Head of French journalists trade union did not know about the situation with our TV channels and about the attack at NewsOne journalists. We are on the negotiations stage, yet we can assure that there will be an event in Kyiv with the senators from France, the Head of Ukraine’s journalists' trade union and other prominent European journalists. At the event, we will present the situation and the problems we have faced,” General Producer of NewsOne Vasyl Golovanov said.

Vadym Rabinovich, the leader of “For life” political party, added that he intended to invite the delegation to the supervisory board of the TV channels.

“If murders of journalists, attacks at journalists will continue, we will raise a question about individual sanctions against those who do this. I think that we will not just invite the senators to Kyiv, we will invite them to the supervisory board of NewsOne and 112 Ukraine. Then, we will see if the channels could be shut down,” he said.
