The French government is working on shutting down the so-called “mission” of the self-proclaimed “DNR” in Marseilles, as RIA news informs quoting Iuber Faiar, the head of the so-called mission.
“I received the summon for Jan. 11 to the tribunal of Aix-en-Provence. The prosecutor asked the court to close our association. According to him, we don’t follow the Vienna convention,” he said.
He also said that currently the “association” is looking for a lawyer that would help them defend their existence. At the same time, he insists the “mission” will continue working: “This situation won’t stand in the way of our work. Whatever happens, we will continue operating in this way or other… I will come to the court, explain everything, and we’ll see what comes next. So far nothing’s lost”.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France says that the “mission” is registered as an association, so it doesn’t have a diplomatic status, nor the immunity.
