A duet from France Madame Monsieur of Emilie Satt and Jean-Karl Lucas will be special guests at the second semifinals of the Ukrainian national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest-2018 on Saturday, February 17. This was reported by the organizers of the national selection.
The guests will perform their song “Mercy” which is devoted to the problems of refugees and charity at the Ukrainian contest. The track was written specifically for participation in Eurovision. Duet Madame Monsieur won the French national selection thank to the audience votes – by the jury’s voting Satt and Lucas were only placed third.
As it was reported earlier Ukrainian singer Laud and bands The Erised and Vil’na won the first semifinal of the national selection for Eurovision. UA:First broadcasted this event.
Vil’na project was the least supported by the judges – she got only 3 points. But it won the viewers’ voting with 9 points. With the total of 12 points Vil’na took the third place. The Erised band got 5 points from judges and 8 points from viewers, 13 in total. Vladyslav Karashchuk, who performs under a pseudonym Laud, got 9 maximum points from judges and 7 from viewers. He won the first semifinal with 16 points in total.
