Freeland advises to keep reforms dynamic

Canada’s Foreign Minister spoke in Ukrainian and cited Ivan Franko, prominent Ukrainian poet and writer

Canada’s Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland said that reforms conducted in Ukraine were positive, but advised Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman "not to lose the dynamics in order to answer to the hopes of Maidan.” She said this at the plenary session of the Ukraine Reform Conference, reports

“We support you, we are proud that you did it, this is your big moment, a lot is in front of you and we believe that you can do it. Speaking on behalf of Canada, we are proud of your progress. I heard about how you talked about fighting corruption. For you it is necessary to answer to the hopes of Maidan. Do not lose dynamism, people count on you,” Freeland says.

It is noteworthy that a part of her speech was in Ukrainian and Canada’s Foreign Minister also cited Ivan Franko, a prominent Ukrainian poet and writer.

As it was reported earlier Groysman met Freeland on Thursday at the plenary session of Conference concerning Ukrainian reforms.
