Zhytomyr, Luhansk, Lviv and Kharkiv regions may be included to the "red" quarantine zone in the next two or three weeks. This was announced by the country's chief sanitary doctor Ihor Kuzin during a briefing.
Also, the Ministry of Health reported that nine regions of Ukraine show indicators of the "orange" level of epidemic danger.
"As of September 24, there are already nine regions - they are showing signs of an orange level, and there is also some regions that are now at risk of entering even the very red-hot level of epidemic danger. These are four regions - Zhytomyr, Luhansk, Lviv and Kharkiv regions, and these regions may be included to the red level of epidemic danger within the next two to three weeks," Kuzin said.
Meanwhile, the scientists of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the Institute of the Epidemiology and Infectious Diseases have held the research of the spread of the fourth Covid-19 wave in Ukraine caused by the Delta strain.
“During the past 20 years, the cyclic nature was observed of the pandemic of the acute respiratory syndrome, Swine influenza, Ebola, and Covid-19 with a five-six-year period of time,” the message says.
The scientists have predicted the dynamics of the development of the fourth wave of the Covid-19 in Ukraine for 200 days. Currently, this wave is at the stage of growth; it can be quicker, than other waves.
