Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Erdoğan observed a moment of silence for the four Marines killed in Donbas zone. 112 TV Ukraine channel broadcasted this from Ankara.
“I think you would not mind, as yesterday four of our young servicemen who are younger than me did not make it. They died, and I think it would be fair if we observed a moment of silence in their memory,” Volodymyr Zelensky said.
Four Ukrainian warriors who lost their lives in combat in Donbas were the Marines. They were killed in action on August 6, as Russian occupants launched nine attacks on Ukrainian positions in the combat area.
Most of the skirmishes occurred in Donetsk region. The enemy opened fire from IFVs, grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms. In one case, they fired 120 mm mortars banned by Minsk agreements. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky asked heads of the Normandy Four member countries to meet as soon as possible after the recent news about Ukraine's combat casualties in Donbas.
