Serhiy Holovaty, the Honored Lawyer of Ukraine and a former Minister of Justice of Ukraine was elected as Vice President of the subcommittee on the supremacy of the law of the Venice Commission. Dmytro Kuleba, the permanent representative of Ukraine at the European Council reported this on Twitter.
'There is more good news from Venice. Serhiy Holovaty, one of the best constitutional specialists of Ukraine was elected as Vice President of the subcommittee on the supremacy of the law of the Venice Commission. It is a recognition of the authority of our specialist', Kuleba wrote.
Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine appointed S. Holovaty, the founder of Ukrainian Juridical Fund, member-correspondent of the National Academy of Legal Science of Ukraine, to the position of the member of the European Commission 'For democracy via law' in March 2017.
