Former “Minister of Health of Crimea” Petro Mykhalchevsky was detained in Kyiv, according to the press centre of the Security Service of Ukraine (the SBU).

A sanctioned search was conducted in Mykhalchevsky’s temporary dwelling in Kyiv. The law enforcers seized a passport of a citizen of Russia, an “official identification” signed by Crimean “Prime Minister” Aksionov, and other documents proving his cooperation with the occupational authority.

Petro Mykhalchevsky became the “Health Minister” in occupied Crimea in March 2014, but already in June, Aksionov fired him for alleged overcharging for medication in pharmacies and demanding “voluntary” donations from patients.
