The law allowing foreign military servicemen to participate in drills on the territory of Ukraine in 2018 entered into force today, on January 30. The document was published in the official agency The Voice of Ukraine.
The law provides for the admission of the foreign troops to Ukraine allowing them to participate in the Ukrainian-American drills 'Rapid Trident 2018' and 'Sea Breeze 2018'; multi-national drills 'Light Avalanche 2018', 'Clear Sky 2018' and Ukrainian-Romanian 'Riverian 2018'.
As it was reported earlier Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine signed the law that approved his decision on the admission of the detachment of the foreign armed forces to the territory of Ukraine in 2018 for the participation in the drills.
Earlier Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada has apparoved the law that approves the decision of President Poroshenko to let foreign troops participate in the military drills expected to be held in this country in 2018. 235 MPs supported the bill, with 226 votes necessary to pass it.
