Ukraine’s Fiscal Service is considering to make a settlement agreement with Naftogaz Ukraine within the judicial process on the fines in the amount of $266,000 and $39,000, which were imposed on Andriy Kobolyev, Naftogaz CEO, by the Energy Customs of the Fiscal Service. Myroslav Prodan, acting head of the Fiscal Service said it during the launch of the second unit of the port control in the Boryspil Airport checkpoint as 112 Ukraine reported.
“We consider various options. Including a conclusion of the settlement agreement (with Naftogaz Ukraine),” Prodan said.
It was reported that the decision will be made after the inspection, after April 4. The inspection will determine whether the sanctions are lawful. Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko ordered the inspection.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Fiscal Service imposed two individual fines on Kobolyev on February 28 due to the violation of the gas custom processing. The gas was purchased from Gazprom in 2015. Later, Andrey Kobolyev appealed against the fines in the District Administrative Court.
