Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine claimed that the first supplies of the armament from the US should take place in a few weeks. He claimed this during the press conference 'Challenges-2018' as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.
'The first supplies of this armament should take place in a few weeks. Secondly, we talk about a number of supplies, beginning with the anti-sniper complexes because a lot of Ukrainian soldiers were killed by the Russian snipers in the east of our country. The supply of such anti-sniper complexes will help us to significantly decrease the number of the perished and increase their security. It is especially important at the front-line. We also talk about the means of the electronic warfare, anti-air warfare and a lot of other kinds of the armament', the president noted.
Also, Stepan Poltorak, the Defense Minister of Ukraine met Mattis in Washington on February 2 and discussed the supply of the lethal weaponry to Ukraine. Later Poltorak reported that Javelin will be supplied to Ukraine in 2018.
