First polling stations for Ukrainian presidential elections open in the United States

Stations are opened in the premises of the diplomatic missions

The first polling stations in the United States have opened in the premises of the diplomatic missions on March 31. This is reported by the Voice of America on Twitter.

"Ukrainians in America began to vote during the presidential elections in Ukraine. A polling station opened in the city of Washington," the statement said.

"The Ukrainians of America began to vote in the presidential elections in Ukraine. An overseas polling station opened in Washington. These are the first elections for Victor and Polina, they recently turned 18. They were the ones who opened the vote in the U.S. capital," Ukrainian Embassy in the USA wrote on Facebook.

As for Ukraine, at 8 pm Kyiv time polling stations in Ukraine have been closed. Voting lasted for 12 hours. Polling stations were opened at 8 am Kyiv time. There are 29,888 polling stations in all regions of Ukraine, occupied Crimea, and separate districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

According to the Central Election Commission, as of 3 pm Kyiv time, the turnout was over 44%.

Presidential candidates have made their choice.

2,344 international observers have been officially approved to come to Ukraine to follow the course of the presidential election.

112 Ukraine TV channel is broadcasting the voting process from the entire territory of Ukraine.
