On February 24, the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 has started in Vinnytsia. The mobile brigade that consists of two doctors and three nurses got the first dose of CoviShield vaccine, as Chairman of Vinnytsia Regional State Administration Serhiy Borzov reported on Facebook.

“At 13:38, we got the first vaccinated person – doctor Lyudmyla Boiko, who is a member of one of 20 mobile brigades that would hold vaccination from Covid-19,” the message said.

Totally, the mobile brigade, which has received the first vaccines, consists of two doctors and three nurses.

According to Borzov, about 7,000 medics put names down for vaccination from Covid-19 in Vinnytsia region. 1,700 medic employees will be vaccinated first as they work in urgent medicine and Covid-19 in-patient facilities. Totally, the region received 17,800 doses of the drug.

On February 23, the first batch of the vaccine against coronavirus arrived in Ukraine. It is 500,000 doses of CoviShield that President Volodymyr Zelensky described as one of the best.

According to the Health Ministry, today, the first stage of the vaccination against coronavirus starts in Ukraine.
